ABOUT THE ROLE Our client is seeking Consultant Psychiatrists to join their team and are interested to hear from Psychiatrist with different subspecialities. The Consultant Psychiatrist will lead a medical team and acts as a role model for high standards of care by supporting an environment where excellence can flourish. Our client is looking for someone who can demonstrate a genuine commitment to the people who they serve, within the diverse and culturally rich community. Supported by the leadership team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to strategic and service development. Working alongside the Service Manager, Acute & Hospital Services, the Clinical Head and members of the Senior Leadership Team, you will support implementation of service goals, and grow a workplace of excellence, by applying the latest evidence to inform the model of care. ABOUT YOU => You will be motivated, enthusiastic, and a highly professional Doctor, who is ready to work as part of a dynamic team, delivering quality equity-focused mental health care. => You will demonstrate, excellent communication skills, be highly organised, and possess honesty, integrity and professionalism. => You will need to have the ability to promote teamwork and navigate through the challenges of providing complex care to whaiora with complex presentations, by promoting a strong team culture and function, and a genuine focus on equitable health systems and outcomes. => You will either be registered or be eligible for Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of Psychiatry and a current APC is essential at commencement of employment.
